New Warriors – Night Thrasher
I’d LOVE to write a Night Thrasher comic. Superheroes and skateboards are a potent mix of awesome. Like chocolate and peanut butter.

Superman High Five
Didn’t want to miss Superman week. Went for something fun and kind’ve retro. Might have to return to this image again sometime in the future.

Tag Team Week: Gentleman Broncos
I think this qualifies as a tag team?
This illustration works 1000% better when you listen to this song . Seriously.
Prepare for the Yeast Wars.

Trap Jaw ! – Master’s Of The Universe week.
One of my favorite He-Man toys as a kid was Trap Jaw. I had a REALLY hard time drawing him for some reason though. Might color it up and edit the posting, but I really like the straight up black and white.
I HAVE THE POOOOOOOWWWWER !

Fantastic Four Through the Ages Week!
“Fantastic Four through the Ages” week kicks off today and wow, it’s gonna knock your socks off!
First up is my “Age of Dinosaurs” piece. I was kinda freaked out when I picked this. I couldn’t really figure it out until I thought “in the age of dinosaurs the FF would be…DINOSAURS!!” After that everything fell into place. I tried to pick Dinos that “felt” like their FF counterparts then I just gave them superpowers. I like to think of the mountain in the background ( that Johnny is flying out of ) as their Baxter building. Mount Baxter?
If you’re visiting us via MTV Geek you’ll notice that the colors here look a bit different. With digital coloring it’s always a game of “when to do I stop”? When I got to this point I felt like I could let it go. I think seeing the two versions is an interesting insight into the creative process. Hope you enjoy it!
Check back Later today, as well as ALL WEEK for more fantastic art!

Bat-Tron
Bat-Tron!
Here my post this week for the Tron theme ( I think its Tron week at least… ). Had a lot of fun working on this. Its 11 X 17, brush and ink. I was worried that my slightly sloppy style may not translate to “Tron”, but I think it works. I added the title at the last minute to complete everything.
As a bonus I have some progress shots and the thumbnail.

The Boy Who Lived
Harry Potter week continues with my version of Harry. I’ll probably update with colors after the holiday, but I’m actually enjoying the line art a lot. I think I was influenced by manga a bit with this one? Maybe?
